Sponsor a classroom, built from what washed up on Lombok's shores.
Ocean-bound plastic, transformed into desks that outlast wood — and delivered to the schools that need them most, with Classroom of Hope.
Across Lombok, children learn sitting on the ground — or crowded onto benches that won't last the year. Traditional wooden desks break down in three to five years, leaving schools right back where they started. We do it differently. Every desk is collected from Lombok's beaches and coastal communities, then handcrafted into furniture that won't rot, warp or splinter. Together with Classroom of Hope, we get it into the hands of the students who need it most.
It's a simple loop: plastic comes off the coast, and a classroom gets furniture that lasts a generation.
Some kids would sit on the ground just to have a place to write.
